I've always loved Hachishaku-sama's all white design
She's the OG 8ft tall mommy while everyone was fawning of lady D XD
Nice lines, clothes, expression and pose. Though you always draw nice clothes so I'm sure it gets old hearing it. That has to be one of the highest points of your art, you must have looked at and memorized a lot of fashion growing up.

SketchMeNot responds:

Aww shucks thank you so much!! (>w<) Haha, funny you mention that! When I was a kid, I wanted to be some kind of fashion designer haha (>w<)

I miss this era of art too, It was considered cringe for like 10 years and now it's looping back around to being good again. I miss how lighthearted and fun everyone was on the internet instead of taking everything so seriously. There's a girl on youtube, 'Izzzyyy' who does videos about old internet culture and talks about this stuff a lot in some of her videos on OCs. It's great.

Oh yeah i've missed this art style so much it's unreal, i'm so happy to see it making a comeback, this whole "scenecore" era is coming back i guess.,.,. seems pretty epic lolz!

Ayyyy, I was hoping you would draw her. It was funny when she first shows up and no one knows who she is outside of her cleaner look. She's getting all excited to finally move up in the world, then loses her mic and freezes up. I felt bad for her, but obviously I wanted Rock and co to get out of the situation alive.

When I read up on her later trying to understand why she froze up like that, I learned she has her own manga spinoff series. I guess she must have been exceedingly popular, or maybe the author really liked her.

But yes, this looks great. You nailed her design and I knew your style would already lend itself well to her since you're very good at goth aesthetic. I love her stripy arms <3

SketchMeNot responds:

Aww thank you so much for your awesome comment! (>w<) I'm so glad you like how she turned out here! Sawyer's always been a big fave so it was a total blast drawing her again, this time featuring her trusty, bulletproof chainsaw! (^w^)

She's being snowed on quite aggressively.
Good action pose with her trying to make her wing into a snowbrella
Some of your best work honestly! feels really complete

Oddlem responds:

AWWWWWWWWWWWWW that means a lot!!! I had a lot of trouble with the pose and getting the perspective right, so that means a ton of me!!

thank you for always being so supportive!

You draw Mizore Ito so much, you've been dedicated for many years. It made me wonder, when did you first come up with her? and what's kept the appeal so strong for you? do you feel like she's a persona of you or your online image? or is it something else?

SketchMeNot responds:

Ah, well, I first came up with her back around 2015! She was actually meant to be a side character for a little story I wanted to make into a mini-comic. However, the more I thought about it, I realized that Mizore herself was a way more interesting character than whatever main character I had in mind for that story, so I scrapped that story and came up with one for Mizore to be the main character in! (^w^)

She's pretty much the personification of my love for Japanese horror and its tropes. I've always been a huge fan of j-horror and Mizore is a great way for me to express my love for it! I'm also really proud of how her design's grown over the years. As I've gotten better at drawing in general, so to I've gotten better at drawing her, so it's cool to be able to see my growth as I've drawn her (^-^)

She's definitely her own character and is separate from my own persona. I guess she could count as a sort of mascot for me, but I don't use her as an avatar for myself. She just really means a lot to me and I wanna do some more really cool stuff with her as time goes on.

It also makes me so so happy seeing so many people resonate with her in a positive way. I never expected her to receive the love that she's gotten over the years. It makes me so incredibly happy! (^w^)

Nobody guided people through Scholomance like Snabe, a place of many memories of rats, a questionable paladin tank, and getting teleported out of the boss room.

SplendidSneb responds:

Precious memories.

I always have mixed feelings about redraws, because often the sketchy imperfect look of the older versions appeal to me more. In this case I really like the new one a lot, the lines are cleaner but the colours are also really nice. It's like looking at the older rusted version, then the shiny version where she's been restored and cleaned up, or at her newest. Super pretty and cool design.

SketchMeNot responds:

Aww thank you so much for your kind words! (^-^) I'm glad you like the new version, as well as the old one! That's actually a pretty cool observation/idea, with the whole rusted vs new/polished thing! That's very fitting! I like it! (^w^)

Everybody loves Curly, myself included

SplendidSneb responds:

Same.

You should do another Daemon art at some point using your 10+ years of skills since then

SplendidSneb responds:

I was thinking the same thing. (to both statements)
