Aw snap, looks like it's time.
Man being a sprite artist is both a tremendous amount of work, but has some of the highest potential of timeless quality that'll still look good in 15 years. You've got a very special power to be able to put something this nice into a game. Since I was a kid I always hoped that higher and higher effort sprite art would happen with enough money, but things have gone backwards instead.
That looks sick, not your usual style. Shows your flexibility
That looks fire, I love it. The hair, the rocky clothing, would use this in a fantasy game as some sort of fighter or frontline tank class.
You've gotta watch Dungeon Meishi if you haven't, there's a character you'll probably like in it XD
I don't really play Minecraft anymore, but I have a friend who does so I'll pass it along to her.
Long time no see AGG, hope current year is treating you well : )
I still remember when I used to bug you on MSN after liking one of your early animations. You should totally keep pursuing gamedev like you said in your other comment, I know you've worked on a few already. Just remember you only have one life to pursue the joy and adventure of making stuff and leave a mark on the world, so don't delay on living it up.
Now make an entire game with this level of detail, with 100 bosses each with 20 animations to this level, a vibrant world with 35 levels, all enemies must maintain this level of detail and quality and be as well planned out! You'll either succeed by the time you're 75, or get so good and fast at it that you'll be the best pixel artist ever at the cost of carpel tunnel.
I fear its only a matter of time until someone is making Diives and ZONE style art with AI. I dunno what's gonna happen as it gets better, but I don't want creativity and art to die.
