Your best animated work in the series in terms of action scenes. Really enjoyed this one over all. I dunno if it's just because of all of your effort or your skill as an animator increasing over the years, but the whole thing looked great and I hope you're as happy with it as I was watching it.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!

Fuck yeah I love Worthikids and big top burger.
Did you make all of these models yourself? because if so you did a great job replicating the original style.

EscapedShayling responds:

Yeah I did! I really enjoyed making them and trying to capture that original style so I'm glad it shows!

Used to play the N64 Gauntlet with a friend. Always remembering this sound in particular.

SuperJeffoMan responds:

Lol, the sound fx, quotes, and music of a lot of games are so good. Random stuff pops into my head all the time.

GopherBagel responds:

Eeeeyyyyy, its my boi!

Love this style, I'm also trapped in the early 2000s. I miss my old internet.

EscapedShayling responds:

Thankyou! The videos was still a bit of an experiment with the style. It's not perfect but I'm happy enough with it :p

You did a great job, how did you manage to make all the assets in 2 weeks?

Yespeace1 responds:

Thank you! My secret is - I actually spent 2 whole weeks on this work, from morning to night. For example, I created all the flying cars and ships in like 3 days x)

So why is this labeled dreamcast collab when it's just the rat ashley joke? I'm confused. Wasn't there an actual dreamcast collab in the works?

Octo responds:

no this is the dreamcast collab

Gary responds:

sorry dude this is the Dreamcast collab

JuneSSantos responds:

This is the Dreamcast Collab, and all of the entries feature classic Dreamcast games.

they gave us permission to post it early

Extremely spicy trailer and beautiful pixel art. Since it's all concept the real game might not turn out that good, but I'd love to see it without any corners cut from that trailer. Like have it look exactly like those sequences with no compromise. I wouldn't even care if it was a short game, it would be worth it. Remember Ghost Trick? same idea. Good quality stylized work transcends time. I really hope you get funded and can make it a reality, I'm dirt poor atm or else I would donate as well.

Jhano responds:

Every shot in there is in-game!

Damn, it's been awhile since I've seen one of these.
First off, I'm glad you're still around and animating! Your work is always incredibly good, and yet it seems like you did this all solo despite it probably being your longest one ever, with some of the best animation and backgrounds that normally take a full crew ages to make. I feel like even if you told me you made something like this just to get paid, I wouldn't believe you, because your passion is clear in your visuals and animation.

Those backgrounds man, they were so nice. The house and rooms all planned out, the little 3 star doorway, the kitchen and little details. It's honestly really awesome, and must have been a ton of work. The ending didn't feel rushed at all, we just got scene after scene of random slice of life stuff with no predictable outcome that made it fun to watch all the way through. I also liked how you drew king triple D with the fluffy ruffle coat, and him having a bunch of tiny waddle dees. Also his letter having a bunch of crossed out spelling errors, very in character for him.

You're going to get a lot of compliments that'll just repeat anything I can say here, but I'm happy you set out to make something that was as much for you as it was for others, you've clearly been driven, and its nice to see passion in people's art and animation. Hope you have a good day famalam.

KimiOmega responds:

I honestly don't know what to say, thank you so much for taking the type to write this comment. I never expected this episode to make people happy like this. I'm glad you enjoyed this episode, it took a long time but I had fun making it while learning Blender!
And yesh, those backgrounds were the bane of my existence but I'm digging how they turned out!

Can always count on spanish animation to be quality and weird as fuck, I love it.

SnowyPunk responds:

Hahaha thank you !
