Damn this is way better than anything I was expecting from you. Fuck Starbarians or established series, this is an incredible original production with great use of mixed media and visuals. Perfectly captures old survival horror games down to the dialogue which I find most people get wrong. Loved the live action outfits and those opening lines from Krieghauzer. Really sold the Albert Wesker vibes.
How long did it take you all to put this together? was it originally planned for Halloween and delayed? What was your main inspirations for the visuals and character dialogue? Also as always happy to see more stuff from you Harry, this more than anything else.
Rofl the fucking Hisoka floating along with the bungee gum balloon
Loved all the high quality animation in this one, fantastic.
That took a turn didn't it?
Very surreal and interesting to watch. Visually weird and satisfying to see an alien upside down world and mystery substance. The coiling through the house with the rooms made to support it was very cool. I found the ending a little odd, but I guess it makes sense. I saw the bird perch and hole to live in as if maybe the bird was a regular companion and part of his ritual. But instead it seems the bird house is just there to lure unsuspecting birds for food? I did like how the bird was essentially made of ink and splattered when he flapped his wings, and just a bunch of bones underneath. I think as a longer animation there could have been more after the reveal of what's inside the little planet. But obviously animation takes a long time and this was likely a huge amount of work.
Also now seeing this is a part 3, so I'll have to watch the others, great job and great animation.
Hey! Thanks for liking it :) sad to tell you that there are no other parts. Before I finished thisboroject, iposted what I have done in seperate episodes. But nowthat everything is finished i posted this as one little movie. Sorry for the confusion.
But if u liked this, i have lots of other short little stories that will scratch the same itch if you have one. Check my YT channel for more :)
That's some solid animation, where was he keeping all that goo?
I really wasn't expecting a spooky month this year after how amazing the last one was with all the collaboration, great animation and awesome backgrounds. AND YET HERE WE ARE AGAIN, AND ITS JUST AS GOOD!
I feel fucking spoiled. I love this series and I'm happy it hasn't gotten old being a year apart. Started off as a silly ass joke, continued from there, and now there's an actual underlying plot of some kind and established characters. So incredibly cool.
Gotta say I really liked the villain this time around and all the sound design with his footsteps and movement. Also his expressions, very imposing, very creepy but also funny. I think my favorite scenes were in the meat locker, and the haunted house with the vampire guy doing the cape mirror trick and the bathroom stall looking like the inside of a Walmart. Humor and drama was really on point.
Thanks a lot to everyone who worked on this, and Pelo for providing YET ANOTHER 11/10 Spooky Month.
There's a face I haven't seen in awhile. This looks amazing, it must have taken a long time to animate so smoothly. I really missed out on the Darkstalkers series. It has such amazing character design, but I never really grew up with it to get the same nostalgia others have. It's hard for me to pick up a fighting game and play through it unless there's a really good single player mode, which all modern fighters besides Blazblue seem to lack.
Anyway, you did amazing. Going right in my favorites
Thanks! I didn't grow up with this, first played DS in the mid 2010's Older fighting games like Soul calibur 2 had nice single player modes
I always love seeing these art school films. This one is particularly awesome. Great concept, great humor, style that's going to age really well. The cow glitching out and the horn being part of the music were the highlights for me. Everything was very cute, and the ending just kinda kept going and left lots to the imagination. I hope you have more creative ideas like this in the future.
Man that was fantastic. I love how you incorporate the sketchy artstyle into motion. You used minimal animation for some parts where it wasn't needed, then heavy animation showing you can do it cleanly and perfect everywhere else.
I also loved the little details, like the worm wrapping around like a mask, or helping pull out the boned hand when cutting the moth creature. I know there's more than that, but those were parts I really liked.
Also the sound design, I don't know where you get your sounds from, but the whole thing has such a unique strongly insect feel to go along with all the tension. Really setting yourself apart with this animation.
Thanks for the kind words :))) Over the years I've just built this huge selection of homemade sounds just from making a couple toons here and there
