Every so often this animation pops into my head. Left a huge impression on me back in the day when it came out due to the song and imagery. I don't care if its simple animation by today's standards, this shit was made with pure passion and I still love it.
Damn, it's been awhile since I've seen one of these.
First off, I'm glad you're still around and animating! Your work is always incredibly good, and yet it seems like you did this all solo despite it probably being your longest one ever, with some of the best animation and backgrounds that normally take a full crew ages to make. I feel like even if you told me you made something like this just to get paid, I wouldn't believe you, because your passion is clear in your visuals and animation.
Those backgrounds man, they were so nice. The house and rooms all planned out, the little 3 star doorway, the kitchen and little details. It's honestly really awesome, and must have been a ton of work. The ending didn't feel rushed at all, we just got scene after scene of random slice of life stuff with no predictable outcome that made it fun to watch all the way through. I also liked how you drew king triple D with the fluffy ruffle coat, and him having a bunch of tiny waddle dees. Also his letter having a bunch of crossed out spelling errors, very in character for him.
You're going to get a lot of compliments that'll just repeat anything I can say here, but I'm happy you set out to make something that was as much for you as it was for others, you've clearly been driven, and its nice to see passion in people's art and animation. Hope you have a good day famalam.
I honestly don't know what to say, thank you so much for taking the type to write this comment. I never expected this episode to make people happy like this. I'm glad you enjoyed this episode, it took a long time but I had fun making it while learning Blender!
And yesh, those backgrounds were the bane of my existence but I'm digging how they turned out!
I loved the simple style combined with smooth animation, it ended up really good. I really liked the gag with the washing machine. Only bad part of the movie (but still hilarious) is the mosquito party room being really hard on the eyes.
That was fuckin' cute. The animation and lines was very rough at times, but the animation itself was great. I love the froggy girl's cute design. I think my favorite sequence was when she roars and makes that face, and then Volcano slide followed by zigzag. Gotta be hot on her feet doing that. Great job to everyone who worked on this, especially who ever gave that "I'm gonna wreck your shit" made me smile
Look bob
its the walrus
lets poke it with the stick
WEEEEEEHHHHH!
You must be as old as I am :(
Also that cool wavey block animation reminds me of this stuff from Ratchet and clank future

Very cool looking.
I didn't recognize Joel Haver's voice, but I should have.
Also a bit of criticism if you don't mind, not here to ruin your moment I just give honest feedback since I think the animation you guys make in your other work is great.
Since this is an excerpt of an episode it's understandable, but not a lot really happens in these scenes, there isn't really any funny dialogue, I think the best parts are some of the physical actions in the animation like War drinking crazy amounts, and the little demons climbing up the straw and such.
One thing I noticed is that the animation seems a lot less smooth, I assume you used less frames since there's more complex stuff going on, and its obviously a ton of work if you're trying to animated a full season. But for the sake of your success, you should really focus in on either funny dialogue, or over the top good animation if you want active humor. Your other animation Nautibuoys had a mix of both which made it really good. Again I know this is just an excerpt of one episode, Maybe Lucia is gonna go joyriding with the horseman and its going to be hilarious, so I really hope all your work pays off.
Remember that when creating something it's about doing stuff that'll make you stand out and be remembered for years, and not being a drop in the bucket with everyone else.
That was one of the most wretched and simultaneously well animated things I've seen in a long time. You've done well.
Doki I always wondered, when you do your different voices, are they pitch shifted or are those higher pitches just you?
